Think You Hate History?
That's because you've never experienced our special blend of education and entertainment we call "Edutainment." We offer a variety of tours for just about every age and interest and put our special stamp on Franklin's history that you won't get anywhere else.
Classic Franklin Tour
There’s just no better way to get a feel for a place than on a guided walking tour. Join us as we take a leisurely stroll through Franklin’s historic streets. You’ll love the warm feel of Franklin’s downtown, as friendly residents say hello, because that’s just the way we do it here.
Our most popular daytime tour provides an overview of Franklin's history, with something for everyone in the family. You'll get a glimpse into the lives of some of the town's most interesting people and gain an appreciation for architecturally-significant buildings and the events that took place in them. You'll learn about an enterprising slave, the Confederate soldier in the center of the square, a most unlikely spy, and St. Paul's Episcopal Church’s near-destruction as well as its beautiful stained glass windows.
The tour is available most days, but please call to make a reservation. We also lead school field trips which may conflict with the 10:00am tour. But when you call we will try to accommodate other times.
