Bike Tours & Rentals

Franklin on Foot has gone mobile! We now offer bicycle tours and rentals.

Join a small group led by one of our local tour guides as we explore Franklin's history and beauty. You will pedal along the streets of Downtown Franklin, through our historic cemeteries, and on scenic routes off the beaten path.

We provide high-quality bikes and helmets. The route provides participants with a dose of both mental and physical activity.

Here are our tours:

Scenic Franklin tour: We'll pass through Franklin's most historic neighborhoods and coast along the Harpeth River-hugging bike path. We'll visit the Factory of Franklin, St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the ever-so-lovely W. Main Street. 2 hours, $35 per person, includes bicycle and guided tour.

Civil War tour: We'll tour the battlefield of Franklin and see the site of the Carter House cotton gin, Collins' Farm, Ft. Granger, and take guided tours of both Lotz House and Carter House Civil War museums. 4 hours, $80 per person, includes admission for guided tour of both Carter and Lotz Houses plus a ticket for Carnton Plantation for you to visit on your own.

Bike Rentals: $8/hour $55/all day.

All rentals and tours include our 24-speed Fuji cruisers, helmets and locks. Bikes are equipped with safety equipment such as bells, lights and reflectors, and come with baskets to store your personal belongings.

Here's a review from Tripadvisor.com: "My husband and I took the Bike Tour of Franklin with Margie! It was a beautiful ride through Franklin with Margie stopping and telling us information about the town, the history and the people throughout the ride! It was one of the best tours we have ever taken! I would recommend this to everyone!!! Margie is a wonderful storyteller and she makes the history of the town come alive!"
